Clarity of expression: clear progression of ideas/story, subtitles for sections that are informative
Justification for experiments and conclusions
Figures that are necessary, where each one adds something to the argument being presented; not just 'thrown in'.
Figures add to understanding; each one really helps the text (re both data and models). Good example: the pathway figure in White et al.
Less of a consensus of the class; still under discussion if this is important, and if so, how important: Breakthough in understanding/technique
