2nd Annual Women in
Mathematics Symposium
Saturday, February 20, 2010
The EDGE Southern California mentoring network in collaboration with the Women in Math group at USC is organizing a one-day symposium for Women in Mathematics in Southern California. Our vision for the symposium is two-fold. 1. The symposium will provide an opportunity for women in mathematics in the southern California area to get to know each other on a personal as well as a professional level. Our aim is to create a network of women mathematicians in the southern California area in order to nurture collaborations and provide a framework for mentoring. 2.
The symposium will provide an
opportunity for graduate students to develop professionally by giving a
mathematical talk in a supportive, non-threatening environment. |
