The laboratory work begins Monday, September 5. If you want to change your lab section, see Professor Vasquez prior to making any changes.

Please contact him for all questions dealing with the administration of the lab.

Copies of the syllabus will be distributed on the first day of class.

 

Textbooks

The following text is required:

  • “Organic Chemistry Laboratory Manual,” Pomona College, 2010-2011.  Organic Laboratory Notebook, safety glasses, lab coat and gloves are also available for purchase from chemistry department stockroom. These items will be billed to your student account.
     

The following text is on reserve in the chemistry department stockroom:

  • “The Organic Chem Lab Survival Manual: A Student's Guide to Techniques,” Sixth Edition, J.W. Zubrick, Wiley Publishing, 2003. (Available at Seeley G. Mudd Science Library)

 

Schedule of Experiments

Copies of the schedule are incorporated into the laboratory manual.

 

Exam Dates and Topics Covered

All exams will be held during normal class hours in the lecture hall.
