H21 Reaction Paper instructions

Due each week on Thursday in class

For each week's reading, write a one-page (no more than 350 word) reaction paper that discusses an issue raised in one of the readings that you find compelling, provocative, disturbing, confusing, or simply interesting. Try to be as specific as possible about what aspect of the reading you are writing about. Provide a specific quotation to react to and give a citation for a source. It is also a good idea to connect the reading to material from the lectures. The paper must be typewritten and turned in at the Thursday class meeting.

This exercise has two purposes. The first is to get you thinking about the material before class. The second is to demonstrate that you have done the readings. It is graded on a credit/no-credit basis.
