The ceremony and reception are very close to each other, and to the hotels we've listed. If it's not too rainy or hot, Pete and Jessie plan to bring comfortable shoes and walk to and from Lloyd Hall. You are welcome to do the same. Under good conditions, it's a very nice 30-45 minute walk down the Parkway, around the Museum, and through the Azalea Garden to Lloyd Hall. We have provided directions for drivers and made other arrangements (see Trolley Service below) in case of inclement weather, dressy shoes, or other very sensible reasons not to walk.

to Lloyd Hall
|
Lloyd Hall is 1 Boathouse Row on Kelly Drive: Go down the Parkway towards the Art Museum, go almost ½ way around Eakins Oval at the end of the Parkway, and bear right towards Kelly Drive. Take Kelly Drive for about ½ mile, and turn left into Waterworks Drive parking lot. Lloyd Hall is the first boathouse—the one that looks like it was built in 1998, not 1898. The wedding will be on the Riverfront Patio. |

Lloyd Hall to
Free Library
|
The Free Library is at 1901 Vine Street. Turn right onto Kelly Drive, follow Kelly Drive past the Art Museum and around Eakins Oval, then go straight down the Parkway to Logan Circle. Go around Logan Circle and continue on the Parkway until 18 th St. Take a left, go one block to Vine St., take a left on Vine. The Library is between 18th & 19th on Vine. There should be some parking available on the street, and there is a large parking lot behind the library (between Wood & Callowhill, between 19th & 20th Sts). The reception will be on the top floor/roof terrace of the library. |
|

Trolley
|
We have reserved a “Philadelphia Trolley” (technically it's more like a bus), which will make trips as needed beginning around 4:30pm from the Hotel Windsor and the Embassy Suites to Lloyd Hall for the ceremony, and then after the ceremony from Lloyd Hall to the Free Library for the reception. A more detailed schedule of trolley service will be available at the hotels. |

The Philadelphia Convention and Visitor's Bureau has an excellent color map of downtown Philadelphia that includes Lloyd Hall, the Free Library, and our hotels.
The map is available as a (rather large) downloadable PDF. |
